Join us for the 2nd Annual An Evening of Lore & Luster on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at the St. Marys Golf & Country Club in Ontario, Canada.

Step into An Evening of Lore & Luster, a luxurious night for readers and romantasy lovers.

Hosted at the beautiful St. Marys Golf & Country Club, this immersive experience invites you to gather with fellow book lovers for an experience that blends crafting, dining, storytelling, and celebration beneath the glowing chandeliers of the stunning ballroom.

Throughout the evening, you will wander the Dark Fae Market, discover new Romantasy titles in the Wilderland Paper pop-up bookshop, enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner, and take part in a one-of-a-kind creative activity designed especially for readers.

Whether you choose to craft, mingle, shop, or simply soak in the atmosphere, Lore & Luster is designed to be a magical night shared with a community that loves books just as much as you do.

A Gourmet Three-Course Plated Dinner
Enjoy an exceptional dinner experience with your choice of main course, prepared by the culinary team at St. Marys Golf & Country Club. Select from three gourmet options: Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken, Braised Lamb Shank, or a vegetarian Cannelloni Con Ricotta.
Wilderland's Lore & Luster Reading Journal Craft
Each guest will receive a premium softcover unlined journal and access to an abundant collection of scrapbooking materials, review slips, templates, and decorative elements. Design your own personalised reading journal to take home, whether you spend the evening crafting or simply gather pieces to finish later.
A Signature Themed Beverage
Each guest will receive one drink ticket redeemable for our exclusive signature beverage, available as both a cocktail or a mocktail. A full cash bar and self-serve coffee and tea station will also be available throughout the evening.

Capture the magic of the evening with a professional DSLR camera photo booth offering both digital photos and printed 4×6 keepsakes.

Dancing & Live DJ
End the night on the dance floor beneath the chandeliers with music from a live DJ. Celebrate the evening with fellow book lovers as the ballroom transforms into a lively, joy-filled space for dancing, laughter, and unforgettable moments together.

Take part in our romantasy trivia before dinner for a chance to win fun bookish prizes! And come dressed to impress, The Wilderland founders will award a prize for best costume of the evening!
Free Parking
Enjoy a stress-free arrival with plenty of free on-site parking available at the venue, including abundant overflow parking to ensure every guest has a convenient place to park.

The Evening at a Glance

An Evening of Lore & Luster has been thoughtfully planned so the night unfolds naturally, giving guests time to explore, create, dine, and celebrate together.

3:00 PM — Doors Open
Dark Fae Market opens and the cash bar begins service.

3:00 PM – 5:30 PM — Crafting, Shopping & Mingling
Guests begin designing their reading journals, explore the Dark Fae Market, and browse the Wilderland Paper pop-up bookshop.

5:30 PM – 6:00 PM — Opening Remarks & Romantasy Trivia
Gather together for a welcome from the Wilderland team and three fun rounds of romantasy trivia. The Dark Fae Market pauses during this time.

6:00 PM — Three-Course Candlelit Dinner
Guests are seated for a gourmet plated dinner. We'll enjoy a starter salad, your choice of main, and a delicious dessert.

7:10 PM — Costume Contest
Our founders will select the guest with the most enchanting romantasy attire and award them with a very bookish prize.

7:30 PM — Dancing Begins
The dance floor opens, the Dark Fae Market resumes, and the photo booth begins capturing memories.

9:30 PM — Dark Fae Market Closes

10:30 PM — Photo Booth Closes

11:30 PM — Last Call at the Bar

12:00 AM — Final Song & Farewell

The Venue

An Evening of Lore & Luster will take place at the beautiful St. Marys Golf & Country Club, an elegant venue known for its warm ambiance and grand chandeliers.

Guests will find themselves slipping quietly through the veil into the fae realm, where an adjoining ballroom transforms into the Dark Fae Market.

Designed as an interconnected space to wander and return again, the venue allows the night to unfold naturally between exploration and creativity.

The venue is fully accessible, ensuring all guests can comfortably enjoy every part of the evening.

An Evening of Lore & Luster is created and hosted by Wilderland Paper, a bookish brand founded by sisters Najah and Yasmine.

Our shared love of reading, especially romantasy, is what inspired us to start Wilderland. Over time that love of stories grew into something larger. We began building spaces where readers could gather, talk about the books that captured their imaginations, and connect with others who feel the same way.

We even started our own book club simply because we enjoy sitting down together and discussing the characters, worlds, and moments that stay with us long after finishing a book.

Lore & Luster grew naturally from that same spirit. It is our way of creating an evening where readers can step away from their everyday routines and spend time surrounded by people who appreciate books just as much as they do. Every detail of the event is carefully planned so guests can relax, explore, create, and enjoy the experience.

At its heart, Lore & Luster is simply a celebration of romantasy books and the community that forms around them.
